The NNIA continued to build knowledge of HCPs in Anglophone CWAR with the understanding that they make daily nutrition decisions and conduct counselling. To be equipped for this role, the need for regular updates on science-based facts for very good nutritional knowledge cannot be over-emphasised.

The NNIA, in collaboration with the Ghana Nutrition Association and the Ghana Dietetic Association, trained 220 paramedics on the theme: “Shaping the Future Today with Proteins”. The participants were drawn from various relevant Hospitals in Accra and Kumasi. Prof Emmanuel AddoYobo, Head, Child Health, Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital, Kumasi and Prof Steiner Asiedu, President Ghana Nutrition Society chaired the Kumasi and Accra meetings respectively.
