Nestlé Nutrition Institute : Africa’s Continuous Support To HCPS In South Africa
For the first time in South Africa, NNIA gave 1500 health care professionals (HCPs) the opportunity to participate in a programme called NNIA Nutrition Academy.
The main objective of the programme was to support continuous professional development of HCP in South Africa through seven structured, CPD accredited, learning activities based on the handbook: Paediatric Nutrition in Practice.
The programme enrolled HCPs from different hospital and pharmacy groups. On the 30th November 2018, NNIA invited the 9 national, semi-final winners representing the main hospitals and pharmacy groups to Nestlé Head Office, Bryanston to compete as teams to the final quiz activity determine the 2018 National NNIA Nutrition Academy winner. The programme was officiated by Ms. Gerda Gericke - NNIA deputy chairperson. She announced the winners for 2018.
