It particularly increases the risk of both communicable and non-communicable diseases, especially when obesity begins in childhood.
Various factors, including the environment, epigenetics, and early-life nutrition, contribute to obesity. The ultimate objective is to address overweight and obesity across various stages of life through preventive measures.
