A diet that is high in fat and low in carbohydrates is advocated in the recently published The Real Meal Revolution. A suggestion was made in this publication that seed oils are toxic.

An impression has been created over the past two years that seed oils are toxic and should be eliminated from the diet. This opinion was fuelled by a statement in The Real Meal Revolution,1 that sunflower and canola oil, among others, are toxic, and should be avoided.
